Today has been wonderful!
First, it was a Sunday and despite the fact that I'm on summer vacation, Sundays equal time with the fiancee and my cute kitty.
Second, the book study for Daily 5 began today on We Read, We Blog, We Teach Even though my school has been using Daily 5 and CAFE for two years now, I still like to refresh! Especially with the new Junior Great Books curriculum coming into my classroom this year.
What's the other fantastic reason for the first of the month? Farley's Currently Link! Of course! You can click the link to go check out her currently rules and link up yourself!
Here comes mine!
I have seen several people posting their Erin Condren planners. I've had my Life planner since November and I just ordered the teacher planner when summer started. I do use electronic lesson plans, but I do plan on using the lesson plan session for notes and field trip things. Then of course, I will use it as my grade book. So cute!
I have several things that I've been working on for school this week:
1. Reorganizing my writing binder and supplementing with TpT finds and freebies
2. Reading The Book Whisperer
3. Going over math manipulatives
4. Making labels for those cute storage bins I found @ Target
5. Making a scope and sequence for teaching Junior Great Books this year
So if I post at all tomorrow, it might be for some of that stuff, but I haven't done any crafting.
As for my wants: I want everything cute and awesome that teachers are using so that is a hard thing to limit.
Reads:
1. Favorite book of all time- Gone with the Wind - I love war novels especially circa de Civil War period, and then incorporate the love triangles...::sigh::2. Can't Live w/o Teacher Book - This was a tough one! I have to go with Strategies that Work. I have highlighted and labeled every part of this book. I like that it has interventions and strategies to use with example lessons. I also like that it sorts things by strategy, it has been glue to my Pensieve and GR binders all year!
