It was hard to keep the Class Dojo displayed on the board all the time with all that was going on. Also, I'm having a link up on my blog called Thinking about Thursdays! Check it out if you're interested.

Jamie
Sixth Grade TalesAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09661792406148201567noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1745872883612615899.post-19783733071259732882013-06-26T12:37:35.862-05:002013-06-26T12:37:35.862-05:00Hey IB/PYP fellow teacher!

I have used the clip chart for the past several years and I find that it is the best way for me and the kids too! I use a monthly calendar to record the color that they are on at the end of the day. I simply put a smile in the box for that day. So on green = green smile, on pink = pink smile. Yellow and orange i give a straight face and red a frown face (in that color). I have read about having the students write their own smile and I may do that this year. I like the idea of them recording it and it becoming more of their ownership. As far as rewards, I set a monthly goal of how many :) = a treat/small party and the goals sometimes vary between students. Some may have a goal of 15 :) and some 18 :) depending on their needs. I have done things like popcorn and an educational movie or a trip to the science lab to make something editable or game time. I like rewarding by month because it takes less time away from our busy day already and not having a weekly fun Friday type of experience.

Amber
AppleGirlAmber Amberhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15146576410508200625noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1745872883612615899.post-52527691587865803432013-06-26T06:27:33.324-05:002013-06-26T06:27:33.324-05:00Your wedding pictures are beautiful!
